Privacy Policy
DailyOS is a single-user planner. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data. The app talks only to a backend you point it at — typically your own server.

The short version
- We do not have user accounts. There is no login.
- We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs inside the app.
- Your schedule, blocks, and meal data live on the backend you choose. We never see them.
- Notifications are local to your device.
What the app stores on your device
DailyOS keeps a small amount of state locally so the app can run offline and remember your preferences:
- The base URL of the backend you have chosen to connect to.
- Display settings (calculation method, Asr juristic standard, travel-mode toggle, sleep window).
- Cached prayer times and resolved blocks for the current day so the Now screen renders without network access.
None of this is transmitted to DailyOS. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on the device.
What the backend stores
DailyOS is designed to run against a backend you control (the reference implementation lives at api.dailyos.cc). That backend stores the data you put into it — weekly templates, block titles, meal labels, fixed commitments, and a per-day override log. It is reachable only with the API key you set on the device.
If you self-host, that data never leaves the server you operate. If you connect to a backend operated by someone else, their privacy practices apply alongside ours.
Prayer times
Prayer times are calculated by the public Aladhan API using the city or coordinates you enter in Settings, plus the calculation method and Asr standard you choose. The request is issued by your backend, not by the app, and contains only the location and the date.
Permissions the app requests
- Notifications — used only to fire local reminders at the start and end of each block. No push notifications are delivered from a server.
- Network access — used only to talk to the backend URL you supplied.
DailyOS does not request location, contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone, health data, Bluetooth, or advertising identifiers.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, no social-login providers, and no tracking pixels. The only network destinations are the backend URL you set and (indirectly, via that backend) the Aladhan API for prayer times.
Children
DailyOS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
Data deletion
To remove all data DailyOS holds about you, uninstall the app from your device and wipe the backend you connected it to. There is no central account to delete on our side because we do not have one.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material about how the app handles data, this page is updated and the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Substantive changes to a build that's already in the stores will be flagged in the release notes.
