Common questions
How do I connect the app to a backend?
On first launch DailyOS asks for an API base URL and an API key. The reference backend is api.dailyos.cc; if you self-host, point the app at your own server. You can change either value at any time in Settings.
Why aren't notifications firing?
DailyOS uses local notifications only. Make sure notifications are enabled for the app in your device's system settings. On iOS: Settings → Daily OS → Notifications. On Android: long-press the app icon → App info → Notifications.
Which prayer-time calculation method should I pick?
It depends on where you live and what your community uses. The default is ISNA, but you can change it in Settings → Prayer times. Asr juristic standard (Standard / Hanafi) is selectable separately.
How does Travel mode work?
Each weekday in your template has two layers: Normal and Travel. Toggle Travel mode in Settings and the resolver renders the Travel layer for that weekday until you toggle it off. Salah times still come from your current location.
What does an anchor like "dhuhr - 0:30" mean?
It means "30 minutes before today's Dhuhr time." Anchors can be salah names (fajr, dhuhr, asr, maghrib, isha), the end of the previous block (prev_end), or a clock time. Each anchor accepts an optional offset.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstall the app from your device to remove everything stored locally. Then delete the data on the backend you connected to. There is no central account on our side to delete because DailyOS does not have user accounts in v1.
Found a bug or have a feature request?
Email us — short reproduction steps and the device/OS version are enough. We read every message.
